Sono_a/ biogenesis 2024
[Multi-channel sound installation / Transducers, amplifiers, glass, sand, motors, Arduinos, Max msp, and a bunch of cables. Variable dimensions.]
Within an ecosystem, sonic interactions emphasize the interconnectedness of abiotics and biotics. In this work, not only cables but sound acts as the binding agent, a medium through which we connect to the vast web of existence, highlighting the interdependent nature of life.
Bottles, windows, tables, bulbs, mirrors, lenses, shelves, screens, fiber optics—can you imagine a world without these objects?
Visible and invisible cables intertwine, connecting us irreversibly to everything around us. If climate change causes the melting of fiber optics, how will our connections be redefined?
Upcycling glass transforms discarded objects into vibrant entities, suggesting that matter possesses a form of aliveness akin to our own. Objects become dynamic participants in existence.
Sound and matter/mattering share a relationship of mutual transmutation. This existence relies on the interplay between sound, space, and matter, each breathing life into the other.
